I am Pan. My work is influenced by my interest in Scandinavian and Eastern pattern design, a sense of the fantastical and a deep rooted love of mark making. I am fascinated and inspired by classical literature and folklore. I try to combine all of these elements in my illustrations, experimenting along the way with stationery and textile design to create quirky homeware products and accessories from my designs.
I studied for a BA(Hons) Illustration degree at the University of Derby and graduated in 2007. I work with many forms of printmaking, but predominantly with (my first love) screen printing, often creating my illustrations first using hand drawn and manually created textures which are then combined with digitally composed elements.
